“Be on your guard for yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you the overseers, to feed the Church of God which he bought with his own blood.” (Acts 20: 28)
“So I commend you to God, and the word of his grace that has power to build you up and to give you your inheritance among all the sanctified.”(Acts 20:32)
General Reflections:
We need to always guard ourselves from the evils of this world.
We need to always put on the “armour of God” that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Eph 6:11)
We need to guard ourselves from temptations to:
o sin
o self gratification
o lure of easy and comfortable life(including not to accept leadership role)
o mediocrity (in service, personal prayer time, reading and reflecting on the Word of God, attendance to weekly Household meetings, assemblies, teachings, and trainings)
Likewise, we also need to guard our members from the evils of this world and from temptations. We need to remind them to always put on the “Armor of God.
We need to always think of the way Jesus stood all oppositions from sinners and so that we will not give up for want of courage to follow Him and do His will.
